WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The scientists and engineers who are behind the latest Mars mission are getting a lot of credit for their work. But there's one standout who's become an internet sensation in just 24 hours because of his hair.

Bobak Fedowsi works at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and he was seen in photos with a mohawk with Martian red highlights and yellow stars shaved into the side.

In the last 36 hours, he's picked up 20,000 new followers on Twitter. He says he gets a new hair-do for every new mission and his coworkers came up with this one.
