Things to do this weekend in DC: Sept 29 - Oct 1

Fall is upon us and the weather is cooling down which means it's time to celebrate all those favorite places and flavors of the season!

1. 18th Annual Mid-Atlantic Oktoberfest, Saturday 12 - 7PM, Shirlington VA 

Get your steins out and get ready to party! The annual Oktoberfest kick-off with Capitol City Brewing is an all day long festival with tons of beer stalls, restaurants, live music and so much more! The event is free for all people and drink tickets will be sold at 11:30AM on! 

2. P.U.B. Dread opening! Sunday 1PM - 12:30AM, 1825 7th St NW, DC

Drink Company's  P.U.B. Dread, which will be open for the entire month of October, features rooms transformed into a haunted forest out of a creepy slasher flick; a dollhouse and a graveyard packed with coffins and tombstones. Free admission to all but leave the kids at home for this one! 
 
3. Family Day at the Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital, Sunday 2-4PM, 921 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE 
 
The Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital celebrates its sixth anniversary with  FREE Civil War-era activities, coppersmiths and blacksmiths, horse-drawn wagon rides, interactive games and crafts, face painting, balloon animals and music!
