Christian pop star Matthew West in DC for opening of Museum of the Bible

Christian pop super star Matthew West performs his new single 'Broken Things' from his new album 'All In'.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Christian pop star, Matthew West is in Washington, DC for the grand opening of the Museum of the Bible , which takes place on Friday, November, 17th.

 

The American Music Award winner performed an acoustic version of his hit single Broken Things on Great Day Washington from his newest album, All In, released on September, 22nd.


All In, is a 14-track personal collection including songs written for West's wife and daughters and about the symmetry of his life and careerCarrie Underwood makes a special appearance singing background vocals on the song Something Greater.

 

Matthew joked, "She might be one of the most expensive background singers I've ever had!"

 

West said he also got a sneak peek of the state-of-the-art Museum of the Bible before it's official opening.

 

"It's exciting to see this amount of history around the most significant book in history," said West "I think many people are going to have an incredible eduction and it's for the whole family."

 

Matthew West is a four time Grammy nominee, multiple ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter & Artist of the Year winner, Primetime Emmy nominee, and American Music and Billboard Music Award winner.
