5 must-watch movies for #TalkLikeAPirateDay

Whether you're snuggled up inside on a rainy day (like today in the DMV) or just aching for some good old fashioned swashbuckling, these are the 5 must watch movies for national #TalkLikeAPirateDay

1. Muppet Treasure Island (1996)

C'mon who wouldn't want to see Miss Piggy former pirate princess with hidden treasure? Plus Tim Curry as Long John Silver? Classic.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)

Absolutely the BEST of the Pirates series featuring a hilarious Johnny Depp as everyone's favorite Capt'n Jack Sparrow and a young swoon-worthy Orlando Bloom. Shiver me timbers.

3. Captain Kidd (1945)

This old school pirate movie is one of the first of it's kind and one of the best for a reason. Real life story of a former Scottish pirate who kicked some serious butt!

4. Peter Pan (1953)

Disney fan or not, the timeless classic of the boy who never grew up and the one-handed pirate who never gave up is still a pop-culture phenomena for a reason. Faith, trust and pixie-dust!

5. The Princess Bride (1987)

A princess named Buttercup, the "Dread Pirate Roberts" and so many amazing jokes we could watch this movie forever. The pirates may not be a focus, but we love this movie too much not to include it.
