3 DC hotels recieve the AAA Four Diamond Award

Time for an upgrade! AAA announced Thursday that three new and also recently redone hotels in the DC area will receive their coveted "Four Diamond Award." The Trump International Hotel, The MGM National Harbor Hotel (located next to the 5 Diamond ranked Gaylord Hotel) and the newly renovated Watergate Hotel.

The award standards for the 4 Diamond rating are based on the "refined and stylish qualities, providing upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail." Less than 6% of 28,000 hotels nationally are ranked in the 4 Diamond Award category and only .4% of hotels are in the 5 Diamond category.  In DC there are three 5 Diamond ranked hotels including: The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown, The Ritz-Carlton Washington D.C and the Four Seasons Hotel Washington D.C.

The renovations and additions to each of the hotels was described as "cutting edge" and "bedazzling."
