WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Some people discovered a letter from Beyoncé Knowles in their inbox this morning, but they may have been disappointed to find out it wasn't just for them.

Beyoncé wrote an email urging people to donate money for an opportunity to hang out with she, her husband Jay-Z and President Barack Obama in New York City . People who are interested would have to enter by midnight at https://donate.barackobama.com/Meet-Me-in-New-York. According to Beyoncé, you and a guest won't have to pay for the plane trip or the hotel.

She ends the letter with:

"Can't wait to meet you!

Beyoncé"
