WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- The check will soon be in the mail for some Hyundai owners.
The Korean car manufacturer will pay a lump sum in a settlement to about 600 owners for hyped fuel economy claims.
An investigation by the EPA found Hyundai and Kia overstated the gas mileage by 6 miles per gallon.
The settlement involves 13 Hyundai models.
Kia has yet to decide if it will participate in the settlement.
