WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Mortgage rates remain at record lows despite ticking up slightly this week.

According to Freddie Mac, a 30 year-fixed rate home loan is at its lowest rate since 1971.

It rose to 3.40 percent from 3 point 34 percent last week.  A 15 year fixed-rate mortgage is up a smidgen from 2.64 percent to 2.66 percent.
