WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- Dinner is done. Dishes are clean. And, for many people in our area, that means one thing: Time to get their Black Friday shop on!
We're here to help you do some pre-game planning to score the best deals, steals, and keep your sanity among the throngs of shoppers expected to hit store aisles this weekend.
First, review ads for your favorite stores and research the items you want. BlackFriday.com says that way you'll know whether you really need to go into a brick and mortar store, or whether you can shop in your pajamas.
If you're still convinced you need to go to the store, visit it first to get the lay of the land.
Consider the divide and conquer tactic. You may need to dispatch the team to different locations, if you're after doorbusters at various stores.
And, the Consumer World site suggests you try to score a "triple play." That's when you buy an item on sale, use percent off or sale coupons for that same item, and look for a cash back rebate.
Now that you have the tools - you're ready to be a savvy shopper, for this holiday season and beyond!
