WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- On the ninth of every month, 9NEWS NOW's Buddy Check program reminds viewers to perform a self breast exam and to also remind a friend.
This month, a Buddy Check partner is raising awareness and encouraging early detection through a 5K walk/run. The Prevent Cancer Foundation has been a Buddy Check research partner for the past 17 years.
Prevent Cancer Foundation is now asking for your help in the fight against cancer, by joining the inaugural Step Away From Cancer 5K Walk/Run.
