In Virginia, we found snow in the western parts of our viewing area. Freezing rain and sleet made Northern Virginia roads slick.
On Route 7, just west of Leesburg, a large pickup truck wound up backwards on top of a guardrail. A crane was pulling it off.
Looking a few miles further west, snow was sticking in places. In Round Hill, a very wet snow was falling, sometimes very fine and sometimes thick. It was starting to stick to the grass and vineyards and some on the less traveled roads.

Dr. Ronak Shah got an early start on his driveway.
“There’s a layer of ice that’s going to get set down, supposed to snow all night so rather and shuffle 10 inches tomorrow. The layer of ice out and it’s that much easier tomorrow,” said Shah.
You’ll find quite a few folks in western Loudoun who have a plow to attach to their pickup truck or tractor. No one seems too worried about the impending storm.
Shah does not think much of Monday’s snowfall. “I lived in Minnesota for six years, so this is nothing,” Shah said.
But tomorrow might be something.
“No. I don’t want snow anymore. I just want to get on my motorcycle and I want to ride. I want it 60° out. That’s what I want,” said the manager at an Exxon in Round Hill.
Just give it time.
