WASHINGTON — Valentine's Day weekend is upon us. Whether you are headed out for a night on the town with your boo, snuggling up at home binge-watching rom coms or going to brunch we’ve got your weather forecast covered.

The spring-like weather will continue for the DMV on Saturday. Expect a lovely mix of sun and clouds for the start of the day, with temperatures in the upper 40s. Cloud cover will gradually increase throughout the afternoon as we warm into the low 60s. Late in the evening, a few stray showers will be possible, but not enough rain to cancel any plans.

A cold front will sweep across our area overnight Saturday into Sunday, bringing with it a cold snap and gentle kiss of snow.

As of now, expect up to an inch of snow in the District with potential for higher accumulations south and west. We are expecting little to no snow, north and west of D.C. For those headed out to brunch on Sunday morning, (unofficially Galentine's Day) be sure you bundle up! Temperatures will stay in the 30s all day and occasionally gusty winds will make it feel even colder. If you are on the roadways early on Sunday, be sure you give yourself a few extra minutes to get where you need to go. The snow will be short-lived and should be clear by mid-afternoon. Afternoon outdoor plans will be chilly but should be mostly dry.

For Valentine's Day on Monday, the weather will be unseasonably cold. Expect mostly sunny skies throughout the day and temperatures in the mid-30s. Daytime plans are clear, but evening plans will be cold! Lows will sink into the mid-20s overnight hats, gloves, scarves, and puffy coats will be necessary.
