Wizards forward Otto Porter took a huge step forward in the 2016-17 season, becoming a vital part of the team's lineup.
Now, as a restricted free agent, the Wizards likely need to sign Porter to a max contract in order to keep him in D.C.
Is he worth the dollars?
A max deal would cost the Wizards approximately $110 million over four years. That's a lot of cash for a player who averaged 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per year in a career best season.
But it's also an investment in Porter's continued development. The Georgetown alum had the NBA's fourth-highest shooting percentage from behind the three point line, and he was credited as being among the team's better defenders.
