Why Sports Illustrated is wrong about Nationals over Yankees in 2018 World Series

What was Sports Illustrated thinking?

What was Sports Illustrated thinking?

I feel like we've all heard this before.

Definitely in the last 5 years, someone else has predicted this.

Exhibit A: 3 reasons Nationals can win the World Series

How did last season go for the Nats?

Oh that's right, they made it to Game 5 of the playoffs, and lost to the Chicago Cubs 3-2 at HOME!

This seems to be a trend for Washington's Major League Baseball team.

In 2016 the Nationals lost the division series to the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 in Game 5.

In 2014 the Nationals lost the division series to the San Francisco Giants 3-1 in Game 4.

Let's not forget in 2012, they lost the division series to the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 in Game 5.

So tell me again why this year is any different?

It seems that I'm not the only one feeling this way.

This one is my favorite.

When will we learn?

Every year for the past 5 years, media (guilty) have said this will be the Nationals year to win the World Series.

So can we all just be honest for a moment, and admit what is really going to happen?

The Nationals will NOT win the World Series this year.
