We're still waiting.

Kirk Cousins missed Friday's practice, as the Redskins quarterback is awaiting the birth of his first child.

When asked if there was any news, head coach Jay Gruden said there wasn't any.

"Haven't heard yet," said Gruden. "No I haven't heard yet. I think she's (Julie Cousins) close."

Always the detail oriented quarterback, Cousins did FaceTime in on a meeting for the quarterbacks.

"We're getting Colt ready to play, he's getting all the reps," said Gruden. "Kirk will catch up when he gets here. I'm sure he'll make up time. He was able to FaceTime some of the meeting today, so he picked up that.

"Kirk has played however many, 30-some straight games," said quarterback Colt McCoy. "To miss a day like this, I don't think will affect him at all honestly. But I did have him on FaceTime in the meeting... my battery is dead, so we were on there for a while."

If for some reason Cousins is unable to start Monday night against Kansas City, Colt McCoy would make his first start since Dec. 14, 2014, at the Giants.
