This week on As the Ball Turns, Lakers’ guard, Lonzo Ball and the Lakers will take on John wall and the Washington Wizards, Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

But wait. Unfortunately, that is not what this soap opera is about.

After the Lakers' loss to the Pelicans Sunday, LaVar Ball (Lonzo Ball’s father) decided to share his thoughts on the Lakers’ next game against the Wizards.

“Washington coming in here Wednesday, they better beware cause Lonzo ain't losing again," Ball told reporters after the game. "Not in the same week!"

Not in the same week you say?

Someone should remind LaVar that his talented son is still a rookie and has a lot to learn when it comes to the NBA.

In the Lakers’ game against the Pelicans, Lonzo Ball had just 8 points. The rookie was 3-13 from the field and 0-5 from the three-point line.

If LaVar thinks his son is going to beat the experienced Washington Wizards with those numbers, he must know something the rest of us don’t.

Wizards’ player Marcin Gortat was quick to defend his team on Twitter after hearing the comments LaVar made.

Many players around the league feel as though LaVar is only making it harder for his son to have a successful NBA career.

Even before Lonzo was drafted, his father was very vocal to anyone who would listen, about how good his son was and the type of player he would be once drafted.

One thing is for sure, Lonzo is not in college anymore and this is the big boy’s league.

If you talk that talk, or in this case if your father talks that talk, you have to back it up.
