The Washington Nationals may have lost to the Chicago Cubs Friday night, but their fans are still hopeful the team will bring a championship to the DMV.

No team has won a championship in Washington since the 1991-1992 NFL season when the Redskins came out on top. Since then, there have been multiple playoff appearances, but no championship trophies.

According to USA Today, there are only two cities that have at least two sports teams that have championship droughts longer than Washington DC. They include Cincinnati and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
