Caps are wearing "Those" jerseys again

Why, why, why, why are they bringing these jerseys back?

Why, why, why, why are they bringing these jerseys back?

These have to be the most hideous jerseys I've ever seen.

Honestly, I thought when the Washington Capitals debuted these at the 2018 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series earlier this month, that it would be the last time any fan would have to see them.

But no, fans will have the chance to get to see them again Tuesday night, when the Caps take on the Dallas Stars at Capital One Arena.

What's so bad about these jerseys you ask?

What's so good about them?

First of all, the thick red band looks like a cummberbund that you wear with a tuxedo.

Last time I checked, they're playing hockey, not going to prom.

Second, I'm all for being proud of the place you play for, but all of the subtle but not so subtle Washington details are a bit much.

One subtle but not subtle detail would have been enough.

For instance, the three stars above the name CAPS on the jersey looks really good.

See, I don't hate everything about it.

But why feel the need to add a huge "W" on the pants with three stars also letting everyone know you play for the nation's capital team?

Your name is the Washington Capitals.

Your jersey has CAPS in bold letters on the front.

I don't think we can ever forget who you play for.

But wait, there's more!

The Capitals are offering select navy jerseys for 25% off starting March 20th.

So you too can look like a hockey player that looks like he/she is going to prom right after the game.
