A decision made very late Tuesday night is sending shock waves through Charlottesville and beyond.
Charlottesville, Va. City Hall was packed on Tuesday night as the city council voted on future of a Stonewall Jackson monument.
While the future of the statue brought a lot of people to the meeting, it became readily apparent early on that removing the statue would not serve as a quick fix to heal the city.
The city council decided they will remove their controversial confederate statues, however there are still some roadblocks in the way.
The delay is due to the fact that there is currently a litigation pending against the city to stop both statues from being removed.
