WOODBRIDGE, Va. -- Four suspects backed a stolen truck into a 7-Eleven store in Woodbridge, stole an ATM machine and then lost it shortly after while driving on the road Tuesday morning, police said.

The burglary happened around 4:11 a.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 19797 Darbydale Ave., Prince William County police said.

Four men got out of the Ford truck after backing into the store. They loaded the store's ATM into the back truck bed.

Police said the suspects then drove off at a high speed, which caused the ATM to fall out of the truck and onto the road.

Only ten minutes after the burglary, police said the four men tried to carjack a woman's vehicle in the 14300 block of Westminister Ln. The men told the woman they had a weapon. Police said the woman's husband intervened and the men ran off.

Police and a K-9 searched the area for the suspects. One of the men involved was found and has been detained. Police were also able to recover the ATM.

Authorities determined that the Ford truck used in the initial burglary at the 7-Eleven had been stolen out of D.C.

Police have given a very vague descriptions of the males.
