SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- As of Monday the Virginia Rail Express has a Spotsylvania Station on the Fredericksburg line.
The first train departed from the station early Monday morning at 4:57 a.m. The station is located near the intersection of US 17 and Crossroads Parkway. It's now the southernmost stop on the Fredericksburg line.
The official ribbon cutting is at 10 a.m. Local, State and Federal elected officials will be at the opening of the station.
