Two men are dead and a third is recovering from injuries sustained in an overnight triple shooting in northwest DC.

According to Metropolitan Police Department officials, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 6200 block of 8th St., near the intersection of Rittenhouse St., just after midnight. Once they arrived at the scene they found three men suffering from gunshot wounds.

All three men were taken to a local hospital where two of them succumbed to their injuries. The third victim is expected to survive.

Police believe the suspect or suspects may be driving a black BMW, possibly a 3 Series.

The crime scene is just a couple blocks north of Paul Public Charter school, and less than a half mile from Coolidge High School. Right now the 6200 block of 8th Street is closed while police conduct the investigation.
