A tractor trailer hauling meat has overturned on MD-50 in Annapolis, causing a significant traffic snag for drivers coming out of eastern Maryland.

Maryland State Police officials say the tractor trailer was traveling westbound on MD-50 around 2:19 a.m. when it overturned near Exit 29, partially losing it's load of meat and scattering debris across the roadway. The truck also spilled diesel fuel, bringing out the MD Department of Environment to work on the clean-up.

The driver was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved.

All lanes have reopened on MD-50 after being closed during the morning commute.
