SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. -- A pilot is suffering from serious injuries after a plane crash near Shannon Airport in Spotsylvania County, Virginia Friday morning, police said.
Around 7:45 a.m., a small, private plan was found on federal property. The pilot, the only person on the plane, was taken to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment.
The FAA and NTSB have been notified. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing at this time.
