MITCHELLVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Prince George's County police are asking for help identifying a suspect wanted for a sexual assault in Mitchellville.

Police released a sketch of the suspect Wednesday, and will be canvasing the Mitchellville area of pass out flyers with the sketch beginning at 7 p.m.

On April 29, police say the suspect sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman in the 11000 block of Lake Arbor Way around 5:40 a.m. An investigation found the man forced the woman to a nearby field and sexually assaulted her there.

"At 5:40 in the morning, it's not necessarily a strange hour but more so a time when people are awake," said Prince George's County Police Corporal Maria McKinney. "At 5:40 in the morning, we're getting our young ones ready for school, we're walking the dog, we're getting up, getting ready for work."

The suspect is described as a black male between 20 to 30 years old with a thin to average build and freckles. His height is somewhere between 5-foot 6-inches and 5-foot 7-inches.

Police say the suspect wore a black hooded jacket and a nylon skull cap at the time of the assault.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information about the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-772-4908 or text them at 274537
