PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) — After a round of inclement weather kept students out of school, the Prince George’s County Board of Education has voted to extend the school year by three days.

This comes after an emergency measure by Maryland officials that allows schools to add up to 5 days of class beyond the state-mandated last day, which is June 15.

The last day of school will now be June 20, which will include a 2-hour dismissal on that day as well as on June 19.
