Montgomery Co. woman charged after threatening to blow up building

Police say this isn't the first time Tapp has made such threats.

A Montgomery County woman has been charged after she threatened to blow up a health facility.

Kimberly Elouis Tapp, 31, of Silver Spring, called Brook Lane Health Services in Hagerstown on March 5, inquiring about her son, a patient there.

When the facility said they couldn’t give Tapp any information, Tapp is said to have become irritated. The nurse on the phone said Tapp began making terroristic things, saying, "I'm going to 'F' up the staff and come up there and blow the place up."

Tapp was arrested on Saturday, March 17, and charged with verbally threatening to explode a structure. She was transported to Washington County Central Booking before being released.

Police say this isn’t the first time Tapp has made such threats. She previously threatened to come to her son’s school in Montgomery County and kill or injure staff, leading to concern that she may come to the school with a weapon.
