Three men now face a grand jury indictment in the murders of two teens the night before they were going to graduation from high school.

Jose Canales-Yanez, Roger Garcia, and Edgar Garcia-Gaona are facing charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, firearm use during a felony/violent crime, and armed robbery.

Canales-Yanez and Garcia each face seven counts. Garcia-Gaona faces eight counts; his additional charge is for felon in possession of a firearm.

The men are accused of killed high school seniors Shadi Adi Najjar and Artem S. Ziberov. The teens were found murdered in a car in Montgomery Village. The next day they were set to graduation from Northwest High School in Germantown.

The killing of Najjar is believed to be an act of revenge.

A friend of Najjar told police he allegedly stole drugs from a woman named Cara Yanez during a drug deal. A police report states an iPad was taken. The woman is possibly the wife of one of the suspects.

The night he was killed, Najjar told a friend he was selling a graduation ticket to a man named Roger Garcia.

It’s believed the suspects offered the buy the ticket to lure the victims to the scene, where they fired 30 rounds. Najjar was hit four times and Ziberov 10 times.

Police don’t know whether Ziberov was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
