Man found stabbed to death in Langley Park identified by police

Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to a reported cutting and found a man suffering from trauma to the body, officials said.

LANGLEY PARK, Md. — A man is dead after being stabbed in Langley Park, Maryland, Sunday morning police said.

The incident happened in an apartment building complex located on 8100 block of 15th Avenue in Langley Park just before 1 p.m. Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to a reported cutting and found a man suffering from trauma to the body, officials said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died a few hours later, the department said in a tweet. Police have since identified the victim as 32-year-old Fidelino Velasquez-Cano of Langley Park, Maryland.

Detectives were on the scene conducting an investigation to establish suspects and motives in this case. No arrests have been made, and additional details were not immediately available. 

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
