Police are investigating after a man was stabbed multiple times Monday afternoon at a residence in Queen Anne's County, authorities stated.

The stabbing happened around 5 p.m. at a residence located in the 100 block of Taylors Road in Queenstown, Maryland State police said.

The man who was stabbed told investigators that a male arrived at the home and asked somebody to come meet him. Police said the victim went outside and confronted the male.

Authorities stated that a fight broke out and the victim was hit in the mouth, head and bit in his upper right arm. According to the victim the male pulled out a small pocket knife and started stabbing him on the left side of his upper body.

After the fight, the person apparently sped off in a black or dark blue two-door car that turned left at the stop sign. Nobody has been able to identify the subject involved in the incident.

The investigation continues into the stabbing.
