‘Twas five nights before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring not even a mouse – but there is a super 6-year-old and twin 2-year-old boys.

The Tolbert family from Waldorf, Maryland is getting ready to celebrate their last holiday as a family of five. In March, the Tolbert family will be adding three baby sisters to the crew.

“Before it was preparation mode now it’s game mode,” said 31-year-old dad, Robert Tolbert. "Yes, it’s fourth quarter,” agreed his 28-year-old wife Nia.

So more children means more of everything including ornaments and stockings.

“We were just talking about it and he [Robert] asked me, 'did you get three stockings for the girls?’ and I said ‘I’m not even thinking that far ahead,'” Nia laughed.

More children doesn't mean just more stockings, but also the family will need more diapers.

WUSA9 surprised the family with diapers of all sizes that were donated by the community.

“It reminds us that we live in a community even in 2017 where people want to help complete strangers because they feel the joy and love,” said Robert. “We are very grateful.”

The family doesn't know exactly what to expect with a bigger family, but they are ready.

“That's the beauty of it all,” said Nia Tolbert, “it’s not going to go the way you plan, it's going to go the way God wants it and that's usually chaotic,” she laughs.
