A family of six has been displaced after their home caught fire on Sunday night in Montgomery County, firefighters said.

Around 7:30 p.m., 75 to 80 firefighters dispatched to a house fire in the 17300 block of MacDuff Avenue in Olney.

When crews arrived to the scene, they found heavy fire conditions coming from an attached garage. The flames quickly extended to the rest of the house, mainly the second floor.

Fire officials said no one was home during the fire, but the home suffered significant damage. A cat and dog were rescued from the burning home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
