LA PLATA, Md. (WUSA9) -- The death of a three-year-old boy found dead in a swing at a Maryland park has been ruled a homicide.

Ji'Aire Lee was found on a swing at Wills Memorial Park on the morning of May 22. He died of dehydration and hypothermia, according to the Charles County Sheriff's Office.

Officers found Ji'Aire after someone reported seeing a woman pushing a child on a swing for an unusally long period of time.

The woman was Ji'Aire's 24-year-old mother. The boy's grandmother told WUSA9 that her daughter would never do anything to hurt her son.
