Prince George's County police departments are amping up patrols at area schools following threats made on social media, police said.
Prince George’s County Police Department is working with school administration for security of those schools and determining the validity of those threats.
Officials could not confirm the schools that have received a threat.
Elizabeth Seaton High School, a private high school in Bladensburg, is closed Monday due to the threat.
Out of an abundance of caution, resources are being deployed Monday to address any situation that arises.

Police are also investigating threats made at several Arlington middle schools as well, according to ARLnow.com.
Stafford County Public Schools also issued a statement to parents after they found similar threats weren't credible.
