A fire destroyed a home in Columbia, Maryland Tuesday night, leaving seven people displaced.

Smoke and flames were reported in the 7400 block of Sandalfoot Way and police were dispatched to the scene just before 9 p.m.

When crews arrived, they found a fast-moving fire on a two-story home and seven occupants safely outside.

The fire was showing from the garage when officials arrived, it later collapsed. Officials contained the fire within an hour.

No one was injured. Family and friends will help the seven people displaced by the fire.

Police are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
