Thirteen drivers were arrested the night of St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 17 in Howard County.
In a statement, police say they conducted extra patrols on Saturday night, looking for impaired drivers. They were funded through a grant by the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Office.
Drivers arrested and charged with DUIs ranged from 21-to-42 years old.
St. Patrick’s Day DUIs fatalities are nearly double the daily average.
