For the third year in a row, Galazio restaurant is serving up five thousand free meals for the community in their La Plata restaurant.
"What we do is on Thanksgiving, we take the opportunity here at Galazio to open up our doors, and it is our opportunity to give thanks to the entire community," said Larry Bisagni, of Galazio.
Everyone at the restaurant including waitstaff, dishwashers, and chefs volunteer their time to make this event possible.
"It is to be there for people who don't have any family around, people who may be down on their luck," said Bisagni.
For Pam Harding, this meal came at the right time. "I was diagnosed with epilespy and early onset dimentia," said Harding. "So we couldn't afford the turkey and everything so we came to Galazio."
At Galazio, Harding's big family was able to enjoy a home-cooked meal together.
"It means everything," said Harding.
"It has just been an unbelievable turnout. We are so thankful to everyone who came in," said Bisagani.
For those who didn't have a way to get to Galazio for the meal, there were volunteers on hand to drive people to and from the restaurant.
