A substitute teacher in the Fairfax County School System is accused of setting up a meeting to have sex with a young girl.

Detectives from the Child Exploitation United arrested Hatim Khalid Abdelrahman, 22, Monday evening in Herndon.

Fairfax County Police said he arranged to meet a young girl “with the apparent intent of having sex.” Police didn’t say whether he knew the girl, if the child was actually an undercover detective, or something else. Police also didn’t say how he arranged the apparent meeting.

Abdelrahman is a substitute teacher in the FCPS system.

Police are asking anyone who thinks their child might have had inappropriate contact with Abdelrahman to contact them immediately.
