Homeward Trails and Rescue has a big puppy rescue Sunday in Falls Church, Va. and they are looking for fosters to help.

The puppies are currently in a rural shelter in the deep south of Virginia. There are two, 8-week-old litters.

According to the organization's Facebook post, one litter already had a pup die after the owner let it run into the road and get hit by a car. After that, they realized they could not care for the babies, so brought them to the shelter where they are in immediate danger due to crowding and space issues.

Homeward Trails has secured a freedom flight for puppies, but they need fosters in order to rescue them all. They are asking for a minimum 2 week commitment.

The puppies are expected to find forever homes quickly. Homeward Trails prefers to send them in pairs for socialization purposes.

All of the puppies are fully vaccinated, dewormed, and deflead before heading to a foster home.

Fosters would need to be available for pickup would be Sunday around 4 p.m. at their office in Falls Church.
