Protestors blocked traffic for about 10 minutes Monday evening on New York and New Jersey Avenues in NW DC.
The demonstrators were demanding answers in the shooting death of 31-year-old Terrence Sterling September 11th.
Police said the unarmed black man was driving his motorcycle erratically and intentionally hit a police cruiser.
The 27-year-old officer who fired his weapon activated his body camera after the shooting. He is now on administrative leave.
Earlier on Monday, about two dozen Georgetown University students marched from campus to the White House to shed light on the Terrence Sterling case and others around the country.
“We are students and young professionals and will be the future leaders of tomorrow and we want people to know that we care,” said organizer Raquel King.
