ID=11523295WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Two people from Southeast, D.C. were arrested for child sex trafficking, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The arrests were made in connection with a sex trafficking of children case that police say involved the pandering and trafficking of juvenile sex workers, physical sexual abuse of juvenile victims, and the distribution of marijuana.

The incident took place in the 3800 block of South Capitol Street, Southeast on Friday, June 26., police said.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on June 29 and charged with first degree child sex abuse, pandering, sex trafficking of children and distribution of marijuana, police said. The man's identity has not been released because police say the case falls under D.C.'s "Duncan Ordinance." Police say not revealing the man's identity is protecting the identity of the child.

Jarnese Harris, 28, was arrested as a fugitive from justice Thursday and was charged with sex trafficking of children, police said.
