An early morning shooting in northeast, D.C. has left one man dead and Metropolitan Police on the hunt for a killer.
According to MPD officials, officers were called to the 800 block of 46th St. around 12:17 a.m. Thursday after receiving reports of the sound of gunshots in the area.
Once police arrived on the scene said they found a man outside suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are looking for a suspect described as a tall black man with long dreadlocks who is armed with a gun.
The area will be blocked to traffic until the investigation is completed.
