Several dogs who were roaming the streets of Kosovo are with their new forever homes in the D.C. area.

D.C.-based Lucky Dog Animal Rescue helped save and fly the dogs overseas. The first batch of puppies arrived at Dulles International Airport Friday afternoon. Their arrival had been uncertain because of a massive Lufthansa pilot strike, but volunteers were able to secure affordable flights for the dogs.
