The District Department of Transportation will begin a new parking meter rate schedule in two popular D.C. neighborhoods starting Monday as part of a pilot program to improve parking availability through demand-based pricing.
On-street parking between H, Third, E and 11th Streets Northwest will all be affected.
Parking meter rates on the above block faces will either decrease to $2 per hour, stay the same at $2.30 per hour or increase to $2.75 per hour on the more than 90 blocks located within the two neighborhoods.
The pilot aims to reduce the time needed to find parking, improve turnover of high-demand parking spaces, provide better parking information to motorists, and reduce congestion by adjusting prices based on block-by-block demand.
The figures below show the blocks identified for adjustments.
