Competitive eater Joey “Jaws” Chestnut not only won Ben’s Chili Bowl’s World Chili Eating Championship at the Taste of D.C. festival on Saturday, he set a world record while doing it.

Chestnut defended his title by consuming more than nine bowls of D.C.’s favorite chili in just six minutes. That’s 2.2 gallons.

In addition to setting the world record, he took home the grand prize of $1,750.

Chestnut is no stranger to this chili. He also won the competition last year by downing about 7 ½ bowls of chili, which is about 1.8 gallons.

You might recall, this competitive eater also won Nathan’s Famous July Fourth hotdog eating contest over the summer as well. During that feat, he gobbled down six dozen hotdogs in 10 minutes.
