WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the homicide of a 32-year-old man who was shot in NW D.C. Friday night.

Police said they responded to the report of a shooting in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, NW around 9:24 p.m. Friday. Deputies found Donta Thrower of NW, D.C. suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to authorities, the man was taken to the hospital and was then pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
