A new hotel set to open in the District is being dubbed the "Anti-Trump" hotel.

The Eaton Hotel is just a few streets over from the Trump Hotel. Inside, you can expect to find all things Liberal – from videos of President Obama, to photos of this year's Women's March. And don't be surprised to find a list of lawmakers and their phone numbers next to the room service menu.

The brainchild behind all of this is 36-year-old Katherine Lo. She may be young, but she knows a few things about hotels, being the daughter of a Hong Kong billionaire and luxury hotel developer.

On the streets of D.C., reaction to the new hotel has been mixed.

"I think it's great. It's a safe place and it's better than the one on Pennsylvania Avenue, the one that says Trump," said Greg Newman.

"We live in a country where we're free to protest, so if that's what they want to complain about, that's great," said Jeff Warner.

While the hotel markets itself as a Liberal safehaven, Lo wants everyone to feel welcome there.

"We are happy to open our doors to anyone and everyone who is curious about learning more about how we can work towards a world that is more inclusive and welcoming to all," Lo said in a statement to WUSA9.

The hotel is set to open in Spring 2018. Rooms will run you about $200 a night.
