After Hurricane Matthew caused destruction in Haiti, Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, The American Red Cross has been helping victims to recover.
The Red Cross has sent emergency response vehicles and 35 trailers filled with items like:
- ready-to-eat meals
- shelter and kitchen supplies
- cleaning supplies
- comfort kits
- insect repellant
The Red Cross is also working with government officials and community partners to make sure people get the help they need.

There is an urgent need for blood.
During Hurricane Matthew about 30 Red Cross blood drives in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina were canceled.
