Two people are dead after a stabbing and shooting that happened Wednesday night in Northeast, D.C., Metropolitan police said.

The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. in the 2200 block of 13 St. in Northeast, D.C. When officers got to the scene they found two victims with wounds. At the time one man was unconscious and not responsive. The other person was conscious and breathing.

Police confirmed later that both victim's had died from their injuries.

Authorities said the 16-year-old male, identified as 16-year-old Zaire Kelly of Northeast, D.C., was fatally shot.

Sequan Gillis, 19 of Northeast, D.C. was fatally stabbed.

There is currently no information on a suspect or motive.
