A woman was grazed by a random bullet in a Virginia shopping center parking lot Tuesday, Fairfax County Police said.

The bullet hit the 38-year-old’s hand. She was walking in the Chantilly Shopping Center parking lot at the time. Police said she did not appear to be targeted. The woman was taken to a hospital with a minor injury.

So far, police do not know where the bullet came from or who fired it. They’re investigating the incident as a “reckless discharge of a firearm.”
